Becoming a Happy Tails Country Club Member

Who Can Join?

We love absolutely every dog of every size, shape and form. They’re all beautiful and wonderful to us. However, because we operate a free-roaming daycare, your dog must like other dogs, too. The Club accepts daycare members who meet all of the following requirements.

• Puppies at least 12 weeks old and have received all rounds of puppy vaccinations. 
• Dogs that display a friendly temperament toward 2-legged staff and 4-legged members.
• Dogs that display a friendly temperament toward 2-legged staff and 4-legged members.
• Proof of current vaccinations for Rabies, Distemper, and Bordatella.
• Dogs in general good health.
• Dogs free of fleas and ticks, and any other communicable or transferrable conditions.

Registration

Registering is a simple two-step process!

1. Dog contract and dog profile. Complete the contract and profile (pdf file) and either fax it to us or bring it with you when you bring your pet in for an evaluation. If you don’t have Adobe Acrobat, just click here to download it.
2. Vaccination records.  We require proof of Rabies, Distemper, and Bordatella vaccinations. (Bordatella vaccination is sometimes administered only by request. So check with your veterinarian) 6-month bordatella preferred and recommended by veterinarians, but 1-year booster accepted. Vaccinations must be administered by a licensed veterinarian and be current three days prior to your dog's arrival at the facility. Fax them, have your veterinarian fax them, or bring them with you when you bring your dog in for evaluation. (You are responsible for your veterinarian faxing us the records, so please confirm our receipt of them prior to bringing your dog in for evaluation and daycare.)

Evaluation

To ensure the happiness and safety of all of our members, your dog will be evaluated during one day of daycare prior to enrollment as a member of The Club. Your dog must display non-aggressive behavior toward humans and other dogs. Shy dogs or dogs displaying separation anxiety are more than welcome. We’ll be happy to give extra special love and attention to your sweetie and work with him or her to adjust to the fun life of daycare at Happy Tails Country Club.

The Club must have your registration form and vaccination records in hand prior to admitting your dog into the facility.

Evaluation Appointment Hours: Monday - Saturday: You may bring your dog in 7:30 - 10 a.m. and pick up your dog 3-6 p.m. Please call to make an appointment. Evaluation/daycare cost: $15. 

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING OVERNIGHT LODGING: All overnight lodging in the hotel includes doggie daycare. As such, your dog must have passed the daycare evaluation and attended at least one day of daycare prior to boarding. So, please plan ahead before the first time you use our overnight lodging services.

Enrollment

The Club will approve your dog’s membership the same day of the evaluation, or let you know that day that your sweetie isn’t really up for so much socialization. Upon acceptance, just pick the daycare schedule and rates that are right for you and your dog!
